Here is the before and proposed after of our new design/build venture:

Looks like the barge rafters on the existing are nice and meaty. Are you keeping them that size? See the angle at which the ends are cut?

Just being nit-picky.... smack me !!!!!!!!!!!!

We are keeping all existing detailing as-is - exposed rafter tails with v-groove decking, "flying" rafter with brackets (with the angle), etc.. The rendering just isn't that detailed, but the construction documents contain details for replicating all. It's a very traditional neighborhood and it's very important to the owner, and us, to keep all the character and charm.

Here's the finished product. Completed right after Thanksgiving.
